In light of the accelerating digital transformation and the increasing reliance on data and information in corporate operations, information governance has become a strategic necessity to ensure information security and quality, achieve regulatory compliance, and improve corporate performance. With the increasing challenges associated with information and data management, the need to create national platforms for dialogue, exchange of expertise, and capacity building in this field is becoming more apparent.
The Libya IT Governance Forum is a national initiative aimed at highlighting the importance of implementing governance concepts within Libyan institutions, discussing the reality of policies and legislation, technical and regulatory challenges, and reviewing best practices locally and internationally.
