The Third Preparatory Meeting of the Advisory Committee for the Informatics Governance Forum

The third preparatory meeting of the Advisory Committee—tasked with developing the agenda and programs for the first edition of the Informatics Governance Forum—was held this evening at the Libyan Technology Foundation, in preparation for the forum.

The meeting was attended by representatives from several specialized national entities, including:

  • General Information Authority
  • National Information Security and Safety Authority (NISSA Libya) – Legal Affairs Director
  • Ministry of Communications and Informatics – Libya (Representative of the Head of the Authority and Director of the Experts Office)
  • Internet Society Libya (ISOC Libya)
  • In addition to a select group of independent experts in the fields of policy, regulation, and electronic payment systems.

Discussions focused on the overall agenda of the forum, the selection of speakers and guests—both local and international—and the institutional attendance from various related sectors. The aim is to ensure that the forum reflects the needs of society and contributes to the development of relevant policies and regulations.

These meetings are considered a key milestone in shaping the forum’s vision, ensuring its themes align with the aspirations of stakeholders in the communications and informatics sectors, and promoting effective governance foundations in Libya.

The Libyan Technology Foundation reaffirms its full commitment to supporting this national initiative and emphasizes its dedication to providing a professional environment for launching a forum that advances best practices in IT and internet governance in line with international standards.
