The first in-person and second preparatory meeting of the Advisory Committee

The first in-person and second preparatory meeting of the Advisory Committee—responsible for defining the themes and topics of the Informatics Governance Forum – First Edition—was held this evening. The forum is set to launch in parallel with the 2025 National Information Technology Day.

The meeting was attended by representatives from several specialized national entities, including:

  • General Information Authority
  • National Information Security and Safety Authority (NISSA Libya) – Director of Legal Affairs
  • Ministry of Communications and Informatics – Libya (Director of the General Department for Development and Director of the Experts Office)
  • Raqmena Company (General Manager and a technology expert)
  • Internet Society – Libya Chapter (ISOC Libya)
  • Alongside a number of independent experts in the fields of policy, regulation, and electronic payments.

These meetings serve as a cornerstone for shaping discussion pillars that reflect the aspirations and needs of various stakeholders in the fields of communications and information technology, laying the groundwork for effective governance.

The Libyan Technology Foundation reiterates its continued commitment to supporting this national direction and providing the professional environment necessary to launch a forum that strengthens IT and internet governance in Libya, aligned with international best practices.

The Foundation also emphasizes that the doors to collaboration and development remain consistently open to all stakeholders.
